We took this Mountain Brook home and added much more usable space! On the main level of the home, we took out some partition walls and opened up the master bathroom and completely transformed it. We were able to gain enough space by opening up the master bathroom that we were also able to create a powder room that opens to the hallway from the backside of the existing master bathroom. We also were able to install double doors to the master closets and add closet shelving to make the closets more usable. We refreshed the guest bathroom on the main level with a new vanity, plumbing fixtures, and tile.
In the basement, we added about 700s/f of liveable space to the unfinished basement. We added a laundry room to the basement which before was just a dirt crawlspace. We also framed out the basement and added a den, office, bathroom, and storage closet. We plumbed for the laundry and bathroom, added electrical throughout, and installed a separate HVAC system for the basement. We installed tile flooring, sheetrock, trim, and painted throughout the entire basement. We also installed some new windows to the basement to allow for some more natural light since it is now a living space.
