Outdoor rooms you will actually use
A deck or patio is only as good as the time you spend on it. That is why we plan outdoor spaces like rooms: where the sun is in the afternoon, how you get there from the kitchen, where the grill and the television go, and how much shade and shelter you need to use it from spring to late fall.
Our work ranges from a covered pavilion with a stone floor and outdoor fireplace on the Daily Project to screened porches, a deck with a clear corrugated roof system, new rails in Mountain Brook and a deck we built for an architect. We also repair and stabilize existing decks – including replacing failing posts and footings – so they are safe for years to come.
Built for Alabama weather
Heat, humidity, storms and termites are hard on outdoor structures. We use treated framing and proper flashing where a deck meets the house, footings sized for the load, and finishes that stand up to the sun: composite or hardwood decking, stone and pavers, metal or wood railings, tongue-and-groove ceilings with fans and lighting.
Matched to your home
A porch addition should look like part of the original house. We match rooflines, columns, trim and paint so the new space blends in from the street and from the yard – and we pull the permits so it is documented when you sell.
