Renovation and new construction in Vestavia Hills
Vestavia Hills grew up along Shades Mountain after the 1950s, and much of the city is still made of solid mid-century and 1970s homes: brick ranches and split-levels with good bones, smaller kitchens and closed-off rooms. Newer neighborhoods such as Liberty Park and the streets around Cahaba Heights add larger custom homes and new construction.
Our work here shows both sides. We turned part of an oversized living room into a complete primary suite – bedroom, bathroom and walk-in closet – reusing the home’s original wood paneling, adding egress windows and rerouting the HVAC. We have remodeled kitchens and bathrooms, repaired and re-glazed exterior windows, and built new homes in the city, including a new construction project on Cahaba Heights Road.
Primary suites, kitchens and open floor plans
The most common request in Vestavia Hills is more space that works: a primary suite with a real bathroom and closet, a kitchen opened to the living area, or a basement turned into family space. We start by measuring the house and checking the structure, then show you options with honest numbers before you commit.
Building a custom home in Vestavia Hills
Hillside lots, views and the city’s schools make Vestavia Hills one of the most sought-after places to build in the Birmingham area. We guide you from the lot (slope, drainage, rock, setbacks) through design with your architect, permitting and construction, with a project manager, a superintendent and regular walkthroughs until you move in.
