For Will Perkins, his Birmingham home was filled with potential — it just needed a new layout and a fresh vision.

For Will Perkins, his Birmingham home was filled with potential — it just needed a new layout and a fresh vision. Like many older homes, his space was divided and closed off, making family life and entertaining a challenge. SouthFace Renovations & Construction partnered with Will to open up the flow, enhance function, and add the touches that make a house truly feel like home.

Before

Before the renovation, the kitchen felt small and isolated from the rest of the home. The dining room stood unused most days, and a front bedroom didn’t serve a real purpose. Will dreamed of an open concept where conversations and cooking could coexist — and a true master suite to match his vision of comfort.

Transformation Process

Our team reimagined the layout by opening the wall between the kitchen and dining room, creating an airy, connected main living area. We also converted a front bedroom into a stunning master bathroom and custom closet, giving the homeowners a private retreat within their home.

Every finish was thoughtfully selected:

Counter Dimensions delivered custom cabinets that elevate the kitchen’s design
Surface One provided sleek, durable countertops that tie the whole look together

Throughout the project, we maintained our commitment to communication, craftsmanship, and efficiency — ensuring every detail aligned with Will’s dream home vision.

After

Now, the home feels expansive, inviting, and functional. The kitchen-dining space is perfect for gatherings, while the master suite offers relaxation and elegance. It’s a home designed for real life — beautiful, bright, and built to last.
